About Kishi Bashi

Kaoru Ishibashi (“Kishi Bashi”) was born in Seattle, raised in Norfolk, Virginia. A classically trained violinist and Berklee alum, he blends indie pop, experimental electronic, psychedelic and orchestral styles. Famous for songs like “Bright Whites,” “Manchester,” “I Am the Antichrist to You.” Latest full album is “Kantos” (2024). Achievements: NPR’s favorite new artist (2012), Emmy-nominated, major symphony collaborations. Collaborated with of Montreal, Regina Spektor, toured widely.
